One day a herd of cows went to the manger for food. They saw a dog resting on the hay in the manger. When he saw the cows, he barked loudly and frightened them away.

One of the cows bravely said, "Please let us have some hay. This hay is our food. We are hungry, please go away from here." The dog snarled at the cow and the cow turned back.

Then another cow went out and called a bull. The bull came and said to the dog, "You know it well that you can't eat the hay. It is the food for cattle. So please go away."

The gentle words of the bull had no effect on the dog. He sat as he was. Then the bull bellowed loudly and got ready to charge at the dog. The dog ran away as fast as he could.
