Paper has advanced our life
Groupwork
C. Discuss with your partner and make a list of things other than paper on which we can write in pens, pencils, markers, brushes, paint/pastels etc.
F. On a weekend, observe how ruti or paratah is made in the kitchen. Carefully take notes of each step taken to make it. Then back in class, share your notes with your partner/group. Finally write how ruti or paratah is made and make a presentation in the class.
It is quite easy to make a ruti or paratah. At first, one has to mix flour, saltnand oil. Then add warm water to prepare a soft dough. Should be kept for 15-20m minutes. Then make smooth equal size balls out of it. Press the ball slightly, dust flour and roll it out into a small circle. Spread a little oil on the surface. Fold the circle and apply a little oil on that. Fold it again. Heat tawa and put the rolled ruti on it. Flip it over to the other side when adequately heated and make bubbles. Cook both the sides well until brown spots appear. Repeat the process for the rest of the dough. Thus we can make delicious ruti or paratha.
