The Dark Tales in Farmgate
It has now become an everyday affair in our farmgate that the people have to live in complete darkness for long hours-in absence of electricity. The Electricity Board authority seems to be careless and indifferent about the difficulty felt by the dwellers of the area. This area is facing frequent load-shedding during the day time as well as at the night time.
During the dark hours of the night, the students are suffering much in their studies for want of light. The old and the sick, and especially the children also suffer as they cannot be provided enough air supply during these hot summer days. The anti-socials become more active, taking advantage of the darkness, and it becomes risky for one to be on the dark streets at night. Moreover, there are a few malls. Due to load-shedding, the malls cannot operate functionally as per to their expectations. Even, this load-shedding problem is hampering the environments of the hospitals of farmgate area too. There is none left in the locality who is not suffering for this load-shedding problem.
The curse of load-shedding has become like a chronic dis¬ease that damages the normal life of the people. Yes, if it were an occasional event, no one would have bothered about it, because a sudden breakdown of a generating station might cause it. But it has now become almost a regular occurrence, which goes to prove mere negligence and inefficiency of the local electricity board authority.
We, by all means, want to get rid of this kind of load-shedding that is going to almost paralyse our normal life, especially after dusk. Hence, we ask for the attention of local electricity distributor authority to be alert and take necessary steps to reduce the occurrence of load-shedding in farmgate area.
