F. WWrite a short paragraph on ‘Uses of Our Language’.
Mother tongue is the language that a person grows up speaking from childhood. It’s also known as the first language or native language. Being fluent in his mother tongue benefits an individual in many ways. The first language of a child is part of the personal, social and cultural identity. Another impact of the first language is that it brings about the reflection and learning of successful social patterns of acting and speaking. It is basically responsible for differentiating the linguistic competence of acting.
A lot of research has suggested that mother tongue education is an important step in language learning for children. In fact, there are studies which show that students who have initially started their learning in their home language, seem to have a better ability to learn other languages and generally develop good language skills later in life. Learning does not start in school. It starts in the home and in the learner's mother tongue. Parents need to communicate with their children in the mother tongue to not just facilitate better learning but also to connect them to their culture and history.
