Flora continues:
“After some time, my father took me to the Headmaster’s room. Gradually, my heart started beating very fast. The Headmaster’s smiling face and gentle words put me at ease. He asked me my name and I told him. Then he pointed to a letter chart and asked me to say some letters. I could say them all. The Headmaster then called a teacher to take me to my class. He welcomed me and gave me a seat in the classroom. When I entered into the class, everyone looked at me with great interest and received me warmly. I felt very happy. After that period, my classmates made fun of me and pulled my cheeks. I got annoyed and told this to the teacher. She said that a brave girl always overcome all the challenging situations that comes in her life, so I shouldn’t cry. Her words gave me courage. Then I became quite normal and stopped crying. I even made some friends, and everything became all right. I will always remember 5th January as a red letter day in my life.”
