Raima gets a letter from her cousin
Introduction
A. Read the letter.
Dear Raima,
Hope, you are doing fine. I haven’t heard from you for a long time. How are Uncle and Aunt doing?
Today I am going to share with you a story about the morality shop we have in our school compound. As you may know, a morality shop is a shop where the price of things is tagged on each item, and there is no shopkeeper. At first some of the teachers thought that no profit will come from the shop because students might not pay the price properly, or they might not pay the price at all as there would be nobody to check. However, when they calculated after one month, they found that there was more money than it should have been in the payment box. It happened that some senior students paid more than the price mentioned on the tag because they thought that the price mentioned on the tag was less than the market price. Everybody was very surprised to see what happened.
That’s all for today. Convey my salam to Uncle and Aunt.
Waiting for your reply.
Your cousin,
Mridula
B. Write a reply to the above letter.
I am very sorry that I could not write to you as I was very busy with my study. How are you doing?
The story you shared is very inspiring indeed. I read about this morality shop in the newspaper a few days ago. It is really a fantastic idea to have such a shop in a school so that students can purchase necessary stuff in the right price. I am also surprised to hear how the senior students paid extra. I think this is the best way to cultivate honesty and morality from our very student life. I will talk about this shop with my classmates, and we will request our school authority to set up a similar shop. No more today. Please, do visit us during your next vacation with uncle and aunt. My parents and I will be very happy to see you all.
Your cousin,
Raima
