Remedies: modern and traditional

From the beginning of time. natural remedies have been used to treat different types of diseases. With the development of science, modern medicine gradually replaced the natural or traditional ones. In spite of this, traditional remedies somehow managed to sustain throughout the course of time to the present. It comprises medical aspects of traditional knowledge that developed over generations within various societies before the era of modern medicine. In some Asian and African countries, many people rely on traditional medicine for their primary health care needs. Ayurveda, ancient Iranian medicine, Iranian Islamic medicine, traditional Chinese medicine, traditional African medicine are some of the examples of traditional medicine. It has proven to be quite effective in treating chronic diseases like ulcers, skin problems, gastric, migraines, limb pains and certain kinds of paralysis. It can also treat psychological problems like hypertension.
On the other hand, modern medicine is more effective in detecting and treating a large number of different types of medical conditions, especially the ones caused by bacteria, viruses and other sorts of germs. The most important difference between the modern and the traditional medicine is the way they observe both the health and the diseases. Modern medicine usually ignores the psychological aspects of a person. It does not go to the root cause of a disease. This type of dissatisfaction led to a significant increase in the number of people who start relying on traditional medicine in order to get rid of their medical problems.
