Once when a Lion was asleep a little Mouse began running up and down upon him; this soon wakened the Lion, who placed his huge paw upon him and wanted to eat him. The mouse cried out, “Forgive me, O The King of the forest. If ever you are in any trouble, I will surely come to your rescue.” The lion laughed and said, A little mouse is going to help me!” The lion spares the mouse anyway. After some days the hunters captured the lion. Hearing the roaring lion, the mouse gnawed away the ropes and rescued him.
