Last summer vacation, I went to my village. There I visited the local village market. I bought some vegetable and fruits. My father accompanied me. It was held in an open place on the bank of a river. It was crowded and noisy. It was very hot too. There were different kinds of shops in the market. Local farmers and farmers from far away villages came there to sell rice, daal, oil, vegetables, fish, meat etc. I bought some vegetables and fruits from there. I could not get a chance to bargain with the sellers as it was crowded and noisy. However, what was remarkable about the place was that it was, in fact, a common meeting place for villagers. I found them exchanging greetings with their friends and relatives. They also exchanged important news with one another. However, the heat, noise, and crowd did not let me enjoy the place very much. So, I finished my job as early as I could and returned home.
